At more than halfway through the season, the Alpharetta Farmers Market is experiencing its busiest year yet. The new location has been successful for both our vendors and shoppers alike and has allowed the Market to grow and expand.
One of the recent additions at the Market is a weekly Kids Zone located at Market Street Park on the corner of Market Street and N. Broad Street. So far, the Kids Zone has featured fitness classes designed for kids ages 5 and over, music, singing characters, face painting, crafts, and other family-friendly activities. Local organizations including Core 57, Alpharetta Christian Academy, and Kaiser Permanente’s Educational Theatre Programs have provided the free community activities. We hope to host the Kids Zone each Saturday during the 2019 Farmers Market season.
The new location offers the Farmers Market more room and flexibility to add activities like the Kids Zone. We’ll see how well the kids’ activities are attended and decide if we’ll include the Kids Zone in the 2020 season.
In 2019, the Alpharetta Farmers Market is held every Saturday from April 13 through October 26 from 8:30am – 1pm with the exception of May 25 on Memorial Day weekend. Please like and follow us on Facebook where you’ll see the latest Farmers Market news.
